Asparagus Quiche
INGREDIENTS
- 5 slices bacon, cut into thin strips
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1-1/2 cups fresh asparagus, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
- 4 eggs
- 1-1/2 cups half-and-half or whole milk
- 1-1/4 cups (5 oz.) Sargento® Artisan Blends® Shredded Swiss Cheese
- 1-1/4 cups (5 oz.) Sargento® Fancy Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 1 tsp. dried parsley
- 1/4 tsp. ground white pepper
- 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1 (9-inch) prepared deep dish pie crust, unbaked
DIRECTIONS

Cook bacon and onion in large skillet until bacon is almost crisp. Add asparagus; cook 5 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally. Pour off drippings; set aside.

Beat eggs lightly in large bowl. Add half-and-half, cheeses, parsley, pepper, nutmeg and asparagus mixture; mix well. Pour into pie shell; place on baking sheet.

Bake in preheated 350°F oven 50 minutes or until golden brown and center is set.
