Jeremy Behler

Chief Financial Officer

Jeremy Behler is Chief Financial Officer of Sargento – a billion-dollar family-owned company, headquartered in Plymouth, Wis. He leads strategy, finance, accounting, IT, tax, treasury, and shareholder relations which includes the family office.

In his role Jeremy has been focused on growing his team’s capability and creating collaborative partnerships across the organization.  He has enhanced the F&A and IT impact across Sargento by embedding team members with their business partners to enhance their knowledge, experience, and effectiveness.  These efforts have supported the company’s Profitability and Growth - one of the corporate values of Sargento that Jeremy and his team uphold.  His leadership builds long term stakeholder value and helps realize the vision of making Sargento the most innovative, best-loved real food company.

Jeremy has held previous roles with the Sargento Family as Senior Vice President of Finance and Accounting and Vice President of Strategic Analysis. Before joining the Sargento team in 2014, Jeremy held numerous roles in F&A, Strategy, M&A, and Market Development at Procter & Gamble. Throughout his career, Jeremy has led over $3 billion in merger and acquisition transactions including Sargento’s 2022 acquisition of Baker Cheese Company. In each of his roles, Jeremy encourages and empowers his team to have open communication, stay curious, and focus on long-term objectives.

Jeremy holds a bachelor’s in finance and computer information systems from Indiana University and an MBA with specializations in strategy, marketing, and finance from the University of Chicago. He is currently a board member at the Salvation Army Sheboygan County, Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), and the Kohler School Foundation.

Jeremy currently lives in Kohler, Wisconsin and enjoys golfing, participating in triathlons, and spending time with his three kids. He is also a licensed pilot and donates his time to nonprofit organizations to transport medical patients and rescue abandoned pets.  In 2023, Jeremy was named CFO of the Year by Insights Magazine.
