Robert Walmsley is the Chief Financial Officer at Sargento. A dedicated leader with holistic experience in the multinational food manufacturing industry, Robert drives Sargento’s broader financial strategy, overseeing financial planning, accounting, tax, treasury, mergers & acquisitions, enterprise project management, and information technology.

Robert joined Sargento after 13 years at Kellanova (formerly Kellogg’s). In his last role at Kellanova, he served as Vice President & Chief Financial Officer for the Latin America region based in Mexico. He was a member of the regional leadership team, with responsibility for strategic planning, financial reporting, capital allocation, IT, and transformation initiatives across Latin America.

Robert previously served as the Vice President of Corporate Financal Planning and Analysis at Kellanova, where he led enterprise-wide financial planning and played a central role in the spin-off of WK Kellogg, leading multiple transaction workstreams.

Robert previously served as Chief Financial Officer for the United Kingdom, Ireland, and European High Growth Markets, where he spearheaded topline growth, implemented pricing and trade optimization strategies, redefined the growth algorithm for Eastern Europe, and oversaw a comprehensive overhaul of the Integrated Business Planning process. Before this position, Robert was Senior Director of North America Financial
Planning & Analysis, directing financial and strategic planning for the company’s largest region. He also held key financial leadership roles within the U.S. Snacks division, leading initiatives to expand production capacity, enhance profitability, and playing a pivotal role in the divestiture of the Keebler business. Additionally, Robert spent five years in the U.S. Frozen Foods division, where he was instrumental in achieving profitable growth, supporting numerous innovation launches, and contributing to a significant transformation of the supply chain network.

Robert began his career at UHY Advisors, specializing in corporate taxation and later joined Dart Container Corporation as a pricing analyst.

Robert is originally from Detroit, Michigan, and holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Grand Valley State University.
