Doug Pelletiere
Executive Vice President Human Resources
Doug Pelletiere is the Executive Vice President of Human Resources for Sargento. In this role, he leads the strategic initiatives of innovative talent solutions for Sargento, throughout the employee lifecycle to attract and retain highly sought after talent in a dynamic labor market. From talent acquisition and employee relations to diversity, equity and inclusion, Doug prioritizes the growth and development of Sargento employees while nurturing the unique, people-first culture of the company. He drives employee capabilities to help Sargento maintain its legacy of treating people like family.
In addition to Sargento employees, the community is a key stakeholder of the company. Doug leads team that stewards philanthropic donations to local and national non-profits. With a background in law, Doug manages the crisis team designed to protect and defend the brand and corporate reputation of Sargento. Doug leads his teams with empathy, actively working toward the vision of Sargento to be the most innovative, best-loved real food company.
Doug has more than 20 years of experience in human resources leadership and is an expert at increasing employee engagement. Before joining Sargento in 2017, Doug held a number of senior HR roles at Comcast/NBCUniversal, CVS/Caremark, and Conseco Group Inc.
Doug holds a J.D. from Indiana University’s Robert H. McKinney School of Law and a bachelor’s in telecommunications and political science from Indiana University. In his legal work, Doug demonstrated compassion in representing state prisoners on death row in Indiana. He is a member of the Florida Bar Association, specializing in employment law.
Doug serves on the boards of RCS Empowers and the Stefanie H. Weill Center for Performing Arts in Sheboygan County, Wis. In his free time, Doug enjoys spending time at Road America in nearby Elkhart, Lake, Wis., watching movies and volunteering. A father of 5, Doug currently lives in Sheboygan Falls, Wis., with his wife Heather and their triplets.
