The Sargento Family Hits the Road
Building awareness of what our company has to offer in terms of our culture and careers is a key objective for Sargento. A few years ago, the Employer Brand Team developed an initiative to hit the road and bring our company, careers and culture to places and spaces with talent. This year we hit the road for the fifth time!
At each roadshow stop, attendees had the chance to spin the cheese wheel to answer trivia questions about Sargento with Anne Troka and Portia Young, connect with a Sargento Family Member, and sign up for our Talent Community on our career site. Our Talent Community helps people stay informed and connected with our company and career opportunities, when there isn’t a current opening. And of course, Sarge always makes an appearance to put a smile on everyone’s faces.
Stop 1: Professional Facilities Maintenance Association Expo in West Bend, WI

The first stop brought the team to the Professional Facilities Maintenance Association Expo in West Bend, where we connected with maintenance professionals during their lunch and introduced attendees to career opportunities and company culture.
Darryl Mrozinsky attended to talk about what it’s like to be in maintenance at Sargento, while Graders Dan Lessuise, and Anna Maras, were doing the cheese-grading demonstration. Recruiter, Kelly Bauters, was also along to talk about the Talent Community.

Stop 2: 2026 Wisconsin Midwest Truck Driving Championship in Appleton, WI
From there, our roadshow continued to Appleton for the 2026 Wisconsin Midwest Truck Driving Championship, held at Fox Valley Technical College. Hosted by the Wisconsin Motor Carriers Association, the championship created a valuable space to meet transportation professionals and build awareness of Sargento careers within the trucking community.

Throughout the event, we connected with truck drivers and their families, sharing more about our company and the opportunities available across our organization.
As sponsors of the ‘Family Fun Zone’, Recruiters, Ashley Loebel and Shelly Meyers, led our trivia wheel, handed out cheese and ice cream, and helped run a coloring contest for kids. Sarge also stopped by for selfies and plenty of high-fives.
Over the Road Driver, Duaine Conrad, even brought along one of our big yellow semi-trucks that attendees could look inside and learn about.
Stop 3: International Food Technologists Conference in Chicago, IL

The third stop took us to Chicago for the IFT FIRST conference where we sponsored a networking dinner for the second year in a row. There, we connected with food science, safety, and quality professionals from across the country and around the world, expanding awareness of Sargento careers among talent in the broader food industry.
Supplier Quality Manger – Cheese, Kyle Koll, joined us for a cheese grading demonstration along with Sr. Sensory Scientist, Maria Handley who led a sensory experience. Recruiter, Miguel Rodriguez, along with Sr Manager – Talent Acquisition, Garrett Ewald, were there to spread the word of our Talent Community.
Through each roadshow stop, the Sargento Family brought our company, careers and culture directly to skilled talent in key industries. From maintenance professionals in West Bend to transportation professionals in Appleton and food science, safety and quality experts in Chicago, we created meaningful opportunities to connect, share what makes Sargento unique and invite attendees to stay engaged through our Talent Community.
